Hey, people! I’m Laura and this is my blog (no duh!). I’m just a regular middle school student from California. My dad is Ted and his blog is www.tedtedted.com.

So…hm…about me…about me…This is weird because usually I have absolutely no problem talking about myself. Well, okay here goes…I’m Laura, I live in San Francisco, California, I’m in the seventh grade, I proudly hold the position of “nerd” in my school, I’m the rhythm guitarist and one of the vocalists in the country/bluegrass/folk/rock/pop group Peein’ in the Dark. I play guitar and saxophone (both of which I still need LOTS of practice on), I’m learning to play the banjo, I’m a left hitter on the school volleyball team (even though I’m right handed, our team doesn’t have enough left handed people), my iPod genres list consists of folk, folk-rock, pop, punk, rock, alternative, bluegrass, blues, and country. My favorite band is the Dixie Chicks, my favorite movie is Shut Up and Sing, my favorite food is whatever I happen to be eating at the moment (I love food!), and my favorite color is…I don’t really have a favorite color.
Oh, and just so you know, I am totally, completely, unconditionally, entirely, thoroughly, utterly obsessed with the Artemis Fowl series, written by Eoin Colfer. I know when the next book is being released a year before it actually is, I participate on almost all the fan sites worth participating on, and I even celebrate Artemis Fowl’s birthday (September 1st, as a matter of fact). I would put the song “Artemis” (written by Eoin Colfer’s friend, a musician, for Artemis Fowl himself) on my iPod if my dad would let me buy stuff off of iTunes.
This is my life plan: Band gets big, make millions, retire when I’m twenty, go to college, become a novelist.
