Laura’s place

School just started again about a month ago. I couldn’t type up any posts about it because I was without my computer since August. The horror! Anyway, the worst parts about school are getting up earlier than I’d have to in the summer and math class. According to my test scores (which don’t usually matter, I know) I’m pretty good in math, but the class is just so boring to me! Pretty much all we’re doing right now is review from the previous grade.

There’s some good parts in school too. I’ve joined band and started playing Alto Saxophone and I’ve finally figured out how to get a pretty good sound out of it. Right now it seems harder than guitar, which I’ve been playing for two years. My favorite period is PE where we can have fun and we don’t have to learn any boring stuff like math or science. My elective is Peer Resources and one of the best things about that is we get to go out to lunch early! Usually lunch starts at 12:04 but once we were let out at 11:50!

There’s this one boy in my math class who (unfortunately) sits next to me. He never does his classwork or homework and draws on the table and is really sexist, saying “men are superior, women are stupid” and things like that. He says he wants to be in the FBI when he grows up and my friends and I are all like “I thought you had to be smart to be in the FBI.” Maybe he means the “Fat Boys Institute”. Then it might make sense. Haha. Just joking.

Anyway, I think I like this school better than my last school. I don’t know why, maybe because there’s more opportunities to do stuff we want to do. That could be it.
